April Shows

This is my piece for the Last Unicorn Art Show- Opening Friday
The Author of the Book, Peter Beagle, will be in attendance.
If you are in Chicago- check it out!

design- for the cut paper illustration
Since I forgot to take a photo of the final piece before shipping

I'm also lucky to be a part of another great show this month
Space 242's "Get Your Freak On!"
Celebrating Circus Folk, Carnies & Sideshow Freaks

For this piece- I created a series of cards (roughly 5 x7)
(L-R Human Aquarium, Mermaid, Dog-Faced Man, Alligator Lady, Headless Woman)

Inspired by the Mixies Circus Cards of the 50's
I created Design- A-Freak.

Mix and Match the pieces to
create a new variety of freak.

Etsy Commission- The Villain's Lair (1)

This is "The Villain's Lair"

(1) of 3 Rooms

Commissioned by Etsy.com and
now installed at their "Corporate"
Offices in Brooklyn-Dumbo, NY

This was a dream project for me;

I created the initial concept (of the room)
influenced by a Streamline Art Deco Style which
was inspired by The Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers
serials of the 1930's.

Jen and I worked on nearly every facet of the room
We painted, cut, hammered, designed and sewed
our way through this project with enthusiasm (and mild profanity:)

Many Thanks go to Rob Kalin

Also
Layla Delridge, Sarah Starpoli,
Andrew Willmore, and Michael Fleming
for their help on this project.
